THÜROS Swivelling Hood for T3
The THÜROS Swivelling Hood which suitable for a THÜROS Grill with a cooking area of 42 x 42 cm can be used for different grilling types. On the one hand, it can be used for direct barbecuing when leaving the hood open and grilling the goods directly over the embers. The Swivelling Hood functions as a wind deflector in this case. On the other hand, it can be used for indirect barbecuing when closing the hood. You can cook the food gentle, bake or even smoke it. It is recommended to use the THÜROS Water pan (WS4260E) to separate the cooking area in a direct as well as indirect cooking zone. The Water pan defines the indirect zone by its position. It can be placed on one side of the charcoal tray or in the middle.
Attention! The THÜROS Swivelling Hood is fixed with x6 screws and nuts on the barbecue top. Usually, the swivelling hood will not be dismounted after the assembly. Hence, the usage of other attachments such as wind deflector, BBQ Hood, lid, skewer attachment and so on is not possible.

- Choose a fi rm horizontal installlation location. Put the charcoal (DIN 1860-2) only in the charcoal tray provided.
- To light the charcoal use only TÜV-GS/DIN EN 1860-3 tested fire lighters. When using lighter fluid make sure it does not flow into the flue or out of the vents. Never add lighter fluid to a burning fire.
- Before first use, preheat the BBQ for a few minutes without food and cooking grate so that any production residues can dissipate.
- Do not use the ventilation slide without gloves.
- Do not start grilling before the charcoal turned gray and reached the correct cooking temperature.
Tipp: Use less charcoal than with any conventional charcoal BBQs without a fl ue draught system. THÜROS® BBQs are truly economical BBQs and need considerably less fuel. Therefore, we recommend to use a high-quality charcoal.
